Articulation and Dual Degrees
Shortly after the decision to venture into the world of international student recruitment from our base in Hanoi, Vietnam; Noble Solutions concluded in 2014 that the best way to add value to overseas universities was to understand Vietnamese University needs. Deeping those relations, we started to pursue a recruitment model for the cost conscious, international focused student and parent that would often opt to remain in-country for the initial years of their degree – resulting in the development of partnerships focused on 2+2, 3+1, 1+1 and dual degree transfer orientated overseas. As we coined them; pipelines of student recruitment.
Matchmaking Irish and UK clients universities that could deliver on those needs, and guiding them through the initial stages of university matchmaking, complete with programmes, projections and timelines ready for curriculum mapping, became our niche in Vietnam, and would shortly have us up and down the country meeting both public and private universities from Hanoi – Haiphong, Hue – Danang, Ho Chi Minh to Can Tho; and back again. Taking the time to build genuine relationships with Vietnamese universities to understand their needs – exposed us not only to the potential of students articulating overseas, but student / faculty exchange, overseas in-country degree delivery (TNE), research initiatives and capacity building / upskilling projects. From this point, we understood the value of truly understanding local market HEI needs, and the obvious gap we could fill in given the all to regular “fly in-fly out” International recruitment and partnership manager approach.
